BRINKish.eu suffered a major setback during the spring of 2011 which is why all our content from 2009, 2010 and early 2011 is missing. We apologize for the inconvenience caused by this.
While we are working on making the best possible site for competitive Brink coverage we will use this fully functional site to keep you updated on what's going on in the BRINKish world with our main focus on Europe and the competitive scene on PC.

ESL Brink EU Championship Group Stage VODs, Day 1.
If the video(s) doesn’t show (goes for all 7 parts) due to plugin error or such. Please try to reload this page as the source (own3d.tv) happens to have some issues with built-in-ads in some countries.
The groupstage of the ESL Brink Championship is about to start and with that ESL have now released the groups. And this time they’ve seemed to got it right as there is no obvious “group of death”.

With H2k on.. ..shall we call it a “break”? Team-Aero managed to qualify for the last spot in group F making it the most even group on paper.
Along with the groups ESL have also updates their ruleset with even more restriction, good or bad. You tell us.
What’s your take on the groups? Who will qualify for the Playoffs? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments-section!
18:14 ESL|kevin16king • P1lote is the team founder, he claimed his teamaccount back and is free to invite or kick people how he would like to do
Let’s start right in the middle of the action. P1lote, founder of this esl account, was earlier kicked from 2stroNg. Legitimate IRC -sources are saying that p1lote on the other hand requested an esl admin to invite him back to 2strong which was orginaly formed by himself, and claimed admin rights to himself. The log showes that he started kicking the players who actually qualified for the esl tournament and invited new players to the team.
Stay tuned for the next episode of how to brink a drama!

***UPDATE***
As you all know a drama consists of 5 acts and it seems like this one just got into the 4th, the turning point, but will it also be the ending? For now it seems that the old players are rejoining the team.

Being somewhat of a underdog, sGs Gaming upset Epsilon, winning the grand finale after a decider map. With that sGs are officially crowned the champions of the first ever Brink Friday Cup over at ESL.
sGs-player Samurai told BRINKish.eu:
The final was the most epic game i have ever played, being 2 seconds aways from loosing it in the 1st map and then coming back to win it in the decider was our greatest game in Brink so far :)Overall tournament i felt we had the hardest draw playing against some top teams like Designate and Cause then suprisingly hard game vs Rush Zone definitely did not make it easy.
sGs road to the final:
vs. Epsilon eSports (2-1)
vs. Rush-Zone wOoHoOdY (2-0)
vs. causeWEcan (2-0)
vs. designate (2-0)
sGs lineup: Apoc, Ati, KAMZ, Rio, Samurai
Congrats to sGs from the BRINKish crew. Now, lets hope we get some (first person eventually) streaming going anytime soon as there are too many interesting games bring played but without a stream.

French casting organization OrigineTV with a VOD from the ESL Brink Last Chance Qualifier featuring Swedish Dyndra (consisting mostly of former DEFCON-members) and French Orbital.
Game starts 26 minutes in.
Cast is in French. Vive la fromage!
With Brink being somewhat of a minor success over at ESL they have decided to expand their Brink section this coming month with daily cups, “versus nights” and some mysterious non-cash prizes tournament which is yet to be fully announced.
With a spot in Mousesports on the line we got to see the biggest upset in Brink as of yet when the talked about favourites Hardware4u miss out on the opportunity to win the German ESL Brink Championship Qualifier.
Instead it was Team gamed!de (formerly known as Insert Coins) who managed to come back from LB and take home the qualifier. Not to take away anything from gamed!de but reports say H4u had issues with Steam during the final which forced them to play without their regular lineup for a period. It’s also weird how ESL haven’t managed to figure out that there should be some kind of advantage when coming from the WB, forcing the LB-team to win 2 maps. None the less, both teams advance to the group-stage but gamed!de may have got Mousesports thinking while making a name for themselves outside the German community.
It should be mentioned the gamed!de-organization have expressed that they are happy having “snapped” the former IC away from Mousesports. But we’ve seen what the power of G7 teams can do before.
Team gamed!de lineup:
Goddy (Team Captain)
Bullherby
Logan
Ryu
raXz
FlaCxStaRr
Congrats to gamed!de from the staff at BRINKish.
Qualified teams:
Europe - Team Dignitas, Epsilon eSports, Next Evolution, H2k-Gaming
UK - RASTA, Veritas, sGs, Um Bongo
Germany - gamed!de, Hardware4u, cause, HTS, The Unit, Team-siLence, Brinkts?
Poland - designate, Pierwsze Pierdolniecie
Nordic - 6-1, Rush-Zone wOoHoOdY
Spain - Insane Team, Mister
Russia - Yummy Elite Sausages, Burn Witch Burn
France - (5 spots - Will be decided this weekend)

Today the Electronic Sports League announced that there will be changes. The changes are of course released to the Brink 5on5 Championship European Qualifier. The changes are although the slots in the qualifier. This means that the old tournament structure was 16 teams. Electronic Sports League did a major change in adding more slots for the qualifier to increase the structure to 32 teams.
Besides that - Electronic Sports League also gives us the “Last Chance Qualifier” which basically is a side run qualifier different from the current one. “The Last Chance Qualifier” will start at 5th June which is a Sunday and the sign ups are now already open. So if you think your team is ready - this is your chance to bring up the war axes and banners against other teams!
A small quotation from the press release that Electronic Sports League gave out is:
“We are officially announcing that we are increasing the tournament format from 4 groups of 4 teams, to a whopping 8 groups of 4 teams, and we are also introducing a Last Chance Qualifier! This of course means a significant change in the slot distribution of a total of 32 slots instead of the previous 16.”
Many see this as a good thing because most teams have now a second chance to regain their control into the Brink 5on5 Championship. The current qualifier slots have currently been changed:
This means that the Electronic Spots League slots are maxed out to +12 extra slots and this will increase the team capacity from 16 team to a 32 team tournament.
With other words - there are second changes. And its all about the 15000 Euro! We at BRINKish.eu wish all the teams the best possible luck!
With the ESL Brink Championship ready to start, ESL have released their complete seeds for the tournament. One could say there were some upset faces across QuakeNet, but that would be an understatement.
Let’s get ready to rumble!
