While we are working on making the best possible site for competitive Brink coverage we will use this fully functional site to keep you updated on what's going on in the BRINKish world with our main focus on Europe and the competitive scene on PC.

The groupstage of the ESL Brink Championship is about to start and with that ESL have now released the groups. And this time they’ve seemed to got it right as there is no obvious “group of death”.

With H2k on.. ..shall we call it a “break”? Team-Aero managed to qualify for the last spot in group F making it the most even group on paper.
Along with the groups ESL have also updates their ruleset with even more restriction, good or bad. You tell us.
What’s your take on the groups? Who will qualify for the Playoffs? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments-section!
With a spot in Mousesports on the line we got to see the biggest upset in Brink as of yet when the talked about favourites Hardware4u miss out on the opportunity to win the German ESL Brink Championship Qualifier.
Instead it was Team gamed!de (formerly known as Insert Coins) who managed to come back from LB and take home the qualifier. Not to take away anything from gamed!de but reports say H4u had issues with Steam during the final which forced them to play without their regular lineup for a period. It’s also weird how ESL haven’t managed to figure out that there should be some kind of advantage when coming from the WB, forcing the LB-team to win 2 maps. None the less, both teams advance to the group-stage but gamed!de may have got Mousesports thinking while making a name for themselves outside the German community.
It should be mentioned the gamed!de-organization have expressed that they are happy having “snapped” the former IC away from Mousesports. But we’ve seen what the power of G7 teams can do before.
Team gamed!de lineup:
Goddy (Team Captain)
Bullherby
Logan
Ryu
raXz
FlaCxStaRr
Congrats to gamed!de from the staff at BRINKish.

Team Dignitas vs. Epsilon eSports - ESL Brink Championship European Qualifier Grand final!

Dignitas lineup: Drago, Anderson, bjorn, JaKaZc, Rulah
Epsilon lineup: 2Easy, Morte, Stefan, VoKUS, Marco, pliXs
Game starts (around) 21.00 CEST.
You just heard right! Yesterday, the german powerhouse Mousesports announced that probably one of the last 4 teams of the German Qualifier is going to play under the banner of Mousesports.
With only 12 teams remaining, soon we will know which team will make the big jump (just like a parkour one).
Time for speculations now! Will the former Power Gaming-team transform into a brinkish mice?! Discuss.

*UPDATE
One of the contenders we believed might’ve been the one, 2stroNg - the 2nd highest ranked German team on our Top 10-list, were today ruled out of the qualifier. This after Brinkts? submitted a protest against 2stroNg after their game was played, which they won due to one of the 2stroNg-players forgot to reconnect to ESL Wire. This means they are out and will have to get their revenge in the upcoming ESL second chance tourney.
Team Dignitas vs. Next Evolution live!
UPDATE: In case you’re still trying. The stream is now offline. Team Dignitas won it!

Today the Electronic Sports League announced that there will be changes. The changes are of course released to the Brink 5on5 Championship European Qualifier. The changes are although the slots in the qualifier. This means that the old tournament structure was 16 teams. Electronic Sports League did a major change in adding more slots for the qualifier to increase the structure to 32 teams.
Besides that - Electronic Sports League also gives us the “Last Chance Qualifier” which basically is a side run qualifier different from the current one. “The Last Chance Qualifier” will start at 5th June which is a Sunday and the sign ups are now already open. So if you think your team is ready - this is your chance to bring up the war axes and banners against other teams!
A small quotation from the press release that Electronic Sports League gave out is:
“We are officially announcing that we are increasing the tournament format from 4 groups of 4 teams, to a whopping 8 groups of 4 teams, and we are also introducing a Last Chance Qualifier! This of course means a significant change in the slot distribution of a total of 32 slots instead of the previous 16.”
Many see this as a good thing because most teams have now a second chance to regain their control into the Brink 5on5 Championship. The current qualifier slots have currently been changed:
This means that the Electronic Spots League slots are maxed out to +12 extra slots and this will increase the team capacity from 16 team to a 32 team tournament.
With other words - there are second changes. And its all about the 15000 Euro! We at BRINKish.eu wish all the teams the best possible luck!
With the ESL Brink Championship ready to start, ESL have released their complete seeds for the tournament. One could say there were some upset faces across QuakeNet, but that would be an understatement.
Let’s get ready to rumble!
As many of you already know - the Electronic Sports League decided to postpone the Brink Championship qualifier one day ahead. The reason for this is that Splash Damage announced via twitter feed that there will be some patches released for Brink. As we reported earlier when it comes to the newly announced Brink patch.
Electronic Sports League decided to take action and therefore move the Brink Championship qualification one day ahead. How this will affect the 160 teams that are participating in the Championship qualifiers around Europe is yet unknown but stay tuned as the Brink Championship qualifiers at Electronic Sports League start to take shape already tomorrow on Tuesday.
A small quote:
“Due the upcoming release in the next few hours of a new Brink PC patch we have decided to delay the whole Qualifier Cup for 1 day! Furthermore we’ll also change the rules and settings after receiving a lot of feedback from you. That no one will be confused now when you have to play your matches we’ve included the new and updated tournament schedule plan in this news. We’ll also open the signup again!”
Nothing has really changed except that the date is postponed one day ahead. So instead of playing the matches today (Monday the 23rd May, 2011) the start will be posted ahead one day so the real start will be at tomorrow (Tuesday the 24th May, 2011) at 20:00 PM GMT+2.
Stay tuned as the exciting news keep on coming
Today, the ESL announced the start of a the European Brink Championship.
A huge step forward to push the competitive scene. Also very brinkish that the final will be played live at lan, at the world largest trade fair event for interactive games and entertainment in Cologne Germany. Furthermore it seems that the ESL is highly interested in this game.
“BRINK has been getting lots of attention right from the start. This shooter truly has potential and deserves every second that we spend on it, figuring out cups that will be your taste in this balanced FPS and the rules that we will need so you can enjoy the tournaments at the fullest. Several national and European cups will be open for the BRINK teams that you’ll form before the release and in the first days after it.”
